Spann njt hele kvllen p fibrer ifrn mitt 4 oz berg.

There is a sense of contentment. Yes, I'm feeling very pleased and contented with myself! The weekend was a good one, lots of good and exhausting stuff!
Saturday started out grey bleak foggy and WET. But the temps were well above freezing early in the morning so I felt confident. Garlic!!! Some time passed and all of a sudden there was enough blue in the sky to make a pair of sailor's pants as Mary Poppins once said, so we RUSHED out, to weed, dig, double dig and rake and prune and.....yes, finally, in th eafternnon, there were two people looking at each other contentedly and tiredly and ALL the veg beds had been dug, all the garlic planted, weeding and pruning too in the garden. Phew! Cut down the asparagus too, did the bed look empty afterwards :-)
Yes, I've reclamied the veg garden, after two years of not growing anythign much and letting it all go to weeds and wilderness! The garlic is planted!

So...we trudged indoors and the rest of the day was spent spinning the 4 oz roving/batt mountain from Etsy, the ones that had multiplied at such an alarming rate. Still no kniting, just spinning and trying to make the mountain shrink a bit. I'm still at work on my SOAR purchases, but am sneaking in a batt ot two from the stash. Planning to be at it all November so hopefully that'll give some results - the ambition is not to spin it all just to create some space for more purchases! haha!
All spinning is done on my Journey Wheel, love it, it is the one I use and I just can't tear myself away from it! I will get to plying all the singles I'm spinning and hopefully the Sonata will be excellent for that. The bobbins are larger....

And Sunday? More contentment and more to come hopefully with a photo or two. Last Sunday there was a spinning workshop at the textile studio and we had such fun.....
